Mishri 15th September 2024 Written Update
Mishri is preparing for a scholarship contest but is feeling nervous. She prays for God’s blessings, promising to offer butter if she passes. Keshav joins her in the prayer, while Ridhi smirks, confident that Mishri won’t make it through the first round. Ridhi remembers how she swapped Mishri’s textbook, feeling assured that even Raghav can’t help her now. The anchor introduces the contestants and explains the format: the questions will appear on the screen, and the contestants must press a button to answer.
Raghav notices that although Mishri appears calm, she is nervous on the inside. He shares his observation with Vaani, who realizes how well Raghav understands Mishri just by looking at her. Both Raghav and Vaani wish Mishri and Ridhi good luck as the questions begin. While Ridhi and the others answer quickly, Mishri stays silent, overwhelmed by the fact that the questions are in English, a language she struggles with.
After the first round ends, the anchor announces the results—Mishri and Keshav scored zero and are disqualified. Raghav feels disappointed and tells Vaani about his concerns. Ridhi takes the opportunity to taunt Mishri, saying she doesn’t deserve the scholarship and isn’t skilled enough to compete. She mocks Mishri’s background, claiming she’s not a match for the others.
In response, Mishri asks the students to step forward if they are not poor, own a car, or don’t need a scholarship to continue their studies. As they step forward, Mishri and Keshav remain behind. Mishri points out that while the others have wealth and luxury, she and Keshav do not. She argues that the contest is unfair since the questions are in English, a language she doesn’t understand. Ridhi dismisses her and tells her to accept defeat, but Mishri fires back by asking Ridhi a question in English, which Ridhi struggles to answer. Mishri then explains the question and expresses how unfair it felt when the contest asked questions she couldn’t comprehend.
Mishri calls for a fair opportunity, arguing that the contest is biased against Hindi-medium students. Raghav supports her, and soon the crowd does too. However, the final decision rests with the University head. Meanwhile, Ranjith, fearing the truth about Mishri and her child coming out, decides to find a way to get rid of them both.
Later, Mishri tries to speak with Samarth, but he insults her, belittling her background. However, her sharp response surprises him, and he gives her five minutes to make her case. Despite her passionate arguments, Samarth refuses to change the rules, leaving Mishri disheartened by his business-minded approach. Raghav encourages her, reminding her that she is still number one in his eyes and urging her not to lose confidence. Vaani, watching this interaction, feels uncomfortable.
