Jhanak 14th September 2024 Written Episode
The episode starts with Meghla singing “Saajan aayo re…” while Jhanak dances. As she performs, Jhanak notices Anirudh watching. The audience claps enthusiastically. Jhanak compliments Meghla on her singing, saying she sings beautifully. Adrija adds a remark, implying that all Meghla can do is sing. Everyone around praises Meghla’s talent. Anuradha introduces Meghla as Appu’s Nanand (sister-in-law). Appu responds by saying that Meghla should visit often and shares that she too sings a little. Meghla acknowledges this, mentioning that Lalon had already told her about it.
Kajal enters with the sindoor and saree for the ceremony. Anuradha instructs Jhimli to hand it to Lalon, explaining the significance of the ritual. It symbolizes that Lalon will take care of Appu and fulfill all responsibilities as her husband. Everyone smiles warmly. Lalon presents the shagun and assures Appu, “I promise to take care of all your responsibilities.”
However, Kajal’s face reveals her displeasure. Anuradha tells Appu to touch Lalon’s feet to seek blessings, which she does obediently. Kajal embraces Appu afterward but then promptly leaves, saying the ritual is over. Meghla bids her farewell, wishing her a safe journey and asking about her destination. Jhanak replies that she’s headed to Mumbai and is hoping to secure work there, though nothing has been finalized yet. Choton offers to drop her off, but she refuses, saying she’ll take a cab. Anirudh also offers to drop her, but she declines, stating she only asked for one thing—love—and nothing more. She hugs Appu and Mrinalini before leaving with Choton. Anirudh is left puzzled, wondering why Jhanak blamed him and whether she’s trying to keep Aditya out of the matter.
Back at the function, Appu enjoys her time with her family, commenting on how kind Anuradha is. Everyone smiles at her cheerful demeanor. Appu expresses how much she misses Anjana since she hasn’t lived without her before. Bablu playfully says they came to see her and compliments how beautiful she looks. Appu also mentions how much she misses Jhanak. Dadi then requests Lalon to bring Appu back home, but Lalon resists, saying he’s not up for it. Dadi insists, saying Bablu can stay at Lalon’s place as Shubh and they can complete all of Appu’s remaining rituals. Apologizing for any past misunderstandings, Dadi asks him to respect her wishes. Anuradha supports Dadi’s request, and though Lalon agrees to come the next day, he firmly says not to ask him again for such things.
Anjana checks on Appu, asking if she has eaten anything. Appu assures her that she has. She then introduces Kajal, praising her.
Dadi shifts the conversation, bringing up Choton and Mrinalini’s engagement, which she had previously arranged. She mentions that Choton wants to leave Kolkata for work and asked Mrinalini to stop him. Appu confidently announces that she will take charge and ensure their marriage happens, bringing a smile to everyone’s faces. Appu turns to Mrinalini, asking if she’s still upset with Choton. They all reminisce about Jhanak’s absence.
At that moment, Anirudh arrives and jokingly says, “Did you forget about me?” Appu embraces him, calling him her best brother but reminding him how much it hurt when he upset Jhanak. Choton, still angry, scolds Anirudh, but Bablu steps in to calm him down. Choton explains that after dropping Jhanak off at the airport, he truly understands the pain she’s going through.
Bhattacharya then arrives, and Anuradha and Lalon acknowledge how much effort and expense he has put into the event. Bhattacharya humbly responds, asking them to call him “Kaka” instead of “Sir” and explains that, as their guardian, he felt responsible for hosting the reception party. He apologizes for not being there for them over the years. Blessing Appu, he gifts her a beautiful necklace. Appu admires it, thanking him sincerely. Anuradha questions the need for such an expensive gift, but Bhattacharya lovingly insists that Appu is like a daughter to him.
Appu responds warmly, appreciating his kindness and thanking him for saving Lalon. She expresses her gratitude that he could attend the event. At this point, Meghla and Adrija join the gathering, and Anuradha introduces them. Appu excitedly suggests that Meghla and Lalon sing together. Meghla agrees, and Appu playfully tells her that she might become as famous as Jhanak. Lalon also encourages her. However, Adrija seizes the moment to taunt both Meghla and Appu.
