Yeh Hai Chahatein 14th September 2024 Written Episode Update
The episode begins with Pradyuman angrily slapping the man who failed to cut the chandelier’s rope. The man explains that although he tried, the hook was rusted, making it impossible to break. Frustrated, Pradyuman tells him to take his money and leave. However, Meera thanks the man for not following through with Pradyuman’s plan. She reveals that she had promised him double the money to avoid causing harm. The man agrees, saying he was swayed by her offer. Meera thinks to herself that Pradyuman believed she would become his ally by revealing the truth about Mohan’s death, but she had no intention of turning against Arjun, Kashvi, or Karun. She recalls her conversation with her father, Vikram.
In a flashback, Meera confronts Vikram, asking why he blackmailed Arjun into marrying her. Vikram explains that he didn’t want his grandchild to be born illegitimate and believed Arjun, being a good man, would take care of her. Meera argues about the wrong he did to Karun, accusing him of using Karun as leverage. Vikram admits that he would never truly send Karun to jail since it was an accident, but Meera is determined to right the wrongs. She knows Pradyuman is trying to destroy everyone’s happiness. The flashback ends with Meera deciding to make things right.
She sends a message to both Arjun and Kashvi, asking them to meet her. Arjun informs Raunaq that he’ll be back soon. Pradyuman notices them leaving and follows. Arjun arrives at the room and finds Kashvi already there. Meera enters and locks the door behind her. Arjun questions why they were summoned. Meera hands them a pendrive, explaining that it contains footage of Karun pulling the lever in the electricity room. She says she doesn’t want it and wants to leave them to decide what to do. Kashvi thanks her and asks how she found out.
Meera reveals that Pradyuman had been using the footage to blackmail both of them. She found out that her father, Vikram, blackmailed Arjun into marrying her. Meera apologizes to Arjun for everything that transpired. Arjun assures her she doesn’t need to apologize. Kashvi questions if Pradyuman was truly blackmailing her as well. Meera confirms that Pradyuman had been manipulating both of them, trying to take their child from them. Arjun then understands that Kashvi was acting to protect Karun.
They both realize they were doing everything to safeguard Karun, and their misunderstandings dissolve. Arjun and Kashvi hug, relieved that the truth is out. Meera feels happy to have reunited them and thinks that Mohan would be proud of her. Meanwhile, Pradyuman overhears everything and becomes enraged at Meera’s betrayal. He lures Karun to the basement under the pretense that his father is waiting there. Once Karun enters a room, Pradyuman locks him inside.
Back upstairs, Kashvi thanks Meera again, excited that Pradyuman no longer holds any leverage. She can now stay with her son. Just then, Pradyuman calls Arjun and taunts them, claiming he still has the real footage. Arjun and Kashvi check the pendrive Meera gave them, only to find it empty. Pradyuman reveals that he had switched the pendrive earlier by tricking Vikram into giving him the original one.
Pradyuman then shocks Arjun by informing him that he has locked Karun in the basement and rigged the room with a bomb. He cruelly tells Arjun to say his final goodbyes to his son. Arjun rushes to the basement, while Pradyuman confronts Kashvi and Meera, boasting that soon they will lose everything. Kashvi slaps him and vows to save her family, while Meera hits Pradyuman on the head with a vase, knocking him unconscious.
Kashvi runs to the basement but finds the door locked. Arjun instructs her to leave with Meera and the guests to ensure their safety, but Kashvi refuses, saying she won’t abandon her family. She begins looking for Karun in one of the locked rooms. Arjun urges her to leave, warning that the bomb could go off at any moment, but Kashvi remains determined to save them.
In a desperate attempt to stop Pradyuman, Kashvi rushes to Neelam’s room and finds her locked inside. Neelam is relieved to see Kashvi, unaware of the chaos unfolding. She insists on joining the party, but Kashvi holds her back, knowing she has to focus on saving her family.
