Jhanak 13th September 2024 Written Episode
The episode begins with Anuradha performing Appu’s aarti. She invites Kajal to stay for food, but Kajal declines, saying she feels sleepy and has school. Anuradha suggests she take two days off. Lalon, trying to lighten the mood, teases Kajal, asking her to take leave so they can party. Kajal, determined, replies that her work is her party. Lalon, slightly amused, comments on her unique way of talking. As Appu walks in, Chimli demands money from Lalon before letting him inside. Anuradha and Appu join in, asking Lalon to give them money. The playful banter continues, with Chimli asking for 5000 rupees, but Lalon bargains it down to 2500. Appu, siding with Chimli, agrees to the 5000, and Lalon reluctantly hands over the money.
Kajal tries to leave, saying the rasams can wait, but Anuradha insists they must continue. Lalon says he isn’t sleepy, but Appu is, and Anuradha reminds them there are a few more rituals to complete. Kajal, ever practical, mentions that it’s usually the bride’s family that stays awake, not the groom’s. Lalon, however, insists Kajal stay for the festivities.
As everyone compliments Appu, Lalon praises her in front of the family, saying she’s the first to show affection, despite what her own family thinks. Kajal adds her own sarcastic remark, teasing Lalon in return.
Lalon, ever the supportive husband, says he knows Appu’s true qualities, which is why he chose her. Anuradha, pleased with how everything is progressing, asks Chimli to bring sweets. Appu offers them to everyone. Lalon reassures Appu that their home may be small, but she’ll adjust over time. Appu smiles, confident she’ll be fine. Anuradha blesses her.
Kajal once again tries to leave, but Appu, insisting that she stay, reminds her that everyone listens to her. Kajal, with a smile, finally agrees to stay for food, saying, “You’re right, I’ll listen if you ask me to.” Appu is overjoyed and affectionately declares Kajal her elder sister from now on, asking her to share poems and stories.
The next morning, Anuradha welcomes Choton and Jhanak. Jhanak mentions she’s leaving for Mumbai that day but wanted to visit. Choton explains that Jhanak has work to attend to. Lalon jokes about visiting Mumbai with Appu, to which Jhanak responds she’d be happy to host them. She brings up how Lalon was saved by the commissioner and suggests he should find out who tried to frame him. Lalon, however, shrugs it off, saying he has too much work to worry about such things. Choton offers to help, but Lalon brushes it aside, preferring to focus on work for now.
As the conversation continues, Anuradha mentions that Kajal helped wake Appu up that morning. Choton playfully suggests that Appu is changing, but Anuradha defends her, saying that Appu has a pure heart and won’t need to change. Appu enters, dressed beautifully, and greets everyone with a hug. Anirudh and Mrinalini arrive, and Anirudh introduces Mrinalini to the family. Jhanak teases Mrinalini about Choton, making everyone laugh. Mrinalini, ever thoughtful, says she came because she cares about everyone, especially Appu.
Appu, always candid, asks why they didn’t attend her wedding. Mrinalini apologizes and gives her a hug. Kajal, noticing the happy reunion, tells Appu to cheer up now that her family is here. Appu mentions how upset she was that morning, not seeing her mother’s face. Choton reassures her that their mother will come soon to visit.
Anuradha adds that Meghla and Adrija, friends of the family, will be visiting later. Appu excitedly announces that Jhanak and Mrinalini aren’t allowed to leave until then. When Meghla and Adrija finally arrive, Lalon recalls how beautifully Meghla used to sing. Anuradha introduces them to Appu’s family. Meghla recognizes Jhanak from a TV ad and praises her, also remembering Jhanak’s performance in a dance competition.
Jhanak thanks Meghla, admitting she didn’t win the competition but was happy to have participated. Meghla, feeling the festive spirit, suggests that Jhanak dance while she sings. The room fills with excitement as Jhanak agrees, and everyone eagerly awaits the performance.
