Jhanak

Jhanak 12th September 2024 Written Episode

The episode starts with Jhanak saying, “Appu won’t do this.” She explains the immense efforts a mother puts in for her child, emphasizing that no child can ever truly repay their mother. She states, “It’s my right to voice my opinion against this ritual. I feel it’s a bad omen, but it’s your choice if you want to continue it.” Dadi asks Anjana to tell Appu to throw the rice behind her. However, Anirudh interjects, “No, I don’t want Appu to do that.”

Appu, with tears in her eyes, says, “I won’t do it because Jhanak is right. How can I ever repay my mom for everything she’s done for me?” She begins to cry and adds, “I’m going to miss Anjana so much, and she’ll miss me too.” Anjana, emotional, says, “You don’t need to endure any more disrespect. Stay happy.” Lalon tries to lift the mood, saying, “Let’s not cry now.” Anuradha then says, “It’s time to go home. Kajal has already gone ahead to make arrangements, and everyone is waiting for our new daughter-in-law.”

Anjana asks them to visit often. Bablu, upset, says, “Can you guarantee that we won’t be disrespected again? If we had our own home, we could invite you with respect.” Anirudh assures him, “I love Appu deeply. It’s my responsibility to ensure she gets the respect she deserves here.” Anuradha adds, “I want Lalon and Appu to be happy. I have so much work at home, I won’t be able to come frequently.”

Appu hugs everyone, tears streaming down her face, while Anirudh shares a heartfelt hug with Lalon. Soon after, Lalon and Appu leave. Meanwhile, Aditya calls Jhanak, and Anirudh notices that he’s still trying to contact her. Jhanak consoles Anjana before answering Aditya’s call.

Aditya, concerned, asks, “Are you okay? You haven’t called me since you got there.” Jhanak explains, “I’m busy with Appu’s wedding.” Aditya asks, “When are you coming back? There’s urgent work, and the film producer has announced the date.” He continues, “I’ve booked your tickets.” Jhanak immediately responds, “Why did you do that? I’ll pay you back for the tickets.” Aditya reassures her, “Don’t worry about it. Just come back to Mumbai. It feels so empty without you.”

Back at home, Bablu breaks down, and Anirudh comforts him. Bablu speaks highly of Appu, touched by her goodness. Anirudh says, “I’ll let Choton know that Appu has left.”

Aditya, on the phone, tells Jhanak, “I didn’t want to put you in an awkward position.” Jhanak, exhausted, replies, “I’m really tired. Appu just left. Send me the ticket details.” Aditya tells her to check her messages, and she assures him, “I’ll take a cab to the airport. You don’t need to pick me up.” He responds, “We’ll see. I might still come. Did everything work out on your end?” Jhanak replies with determination, “No, but I’m not giving up. I’ll fight for my baby’s identity until the end.” As she ends the call, Anirudh appears, clearly frustrated.

Anirudh, visibly upset, begins an argument, “Why did you take the next step that night? You could’ve stopped this.” Jhanak, tired of the accusations, retorts, “You love spinning stories, don’t you? Your imagination is top-notch. Maybe you should be a writer.” Anirudh mocks her, “Oh, so I did this? Fine, if you say so. But now you’re living in Aditya’s house and trying to put the responsibility for the baby on me? Clever move. I did everything for you, even jeopardized my own relationship with Arshi.”

Jhanak, unfazed, replies, “Everyone has been saying this for a while now, and now you’ve said it too. Good. I just needed to hear it directly from you. But let me tell you, no matter what you say, the truth remains the same. I’ve never asked for much—just for the baby’s rights. You need to acknowledge your responsibility and give your name to this child.”

Anirudh, growing angrier, says, “I hate you. Arshi may not be perfect, but she’s not manipulative like you.” Jhanak, with calm resolve, says, “One day, you’ll regret everything. You’ll come back to apologize, and I’ll forgive you. But don’t forget, you’ll also need to seek forgiveness from God. You’ve disrespected a woman, and while I may let it go, He won’t. Karma will come for you, and you’ll pay for your actions. Thank you.”
