Anupama 12th September 2024 Written Update
The episode starts with Anupama asking Anuj about Barkha and Ankush. Anuj replies that he’s going to get some answers from them. Anupama stops him, applies kajal behind his ear, and adjusts his collar and sleeves. Anuj thanks her for her support, both today and previously, and says he wants to return to being the old Anuj. He shares how, when Anupama and Aadhya left his life, nothing else mattered to him except for their return. Now that they’re back, he wants to give them all the happiness in the world and feels it’s time to go back to the office to fix things. Anupama says Aadhya is also her responsibility, and she wants to do a lot for her too. Anuj reassures her that Asha Bhavan is not just her responsibility and vows to get answers from the office and return with a solution. Anupama wishes him luck and hands him a magnet. He thanks her and playfully mentions how he expects her to wait for him with tea and a conversation about the day. Anuj kisses his fingers and touches her shoulder before leaving. Anupama feels shy and smiles.
Meanwhile, Dolly drops Meenu at college. Sagar greets Meenu, but Dolly returns unexpectedly and confronts them. She accuses Sagar of trapping Meenu and insults him for being an auto driver. Meenu defends Sagar, explaining that he’s studying law and will soon become a lawyer, asking why she would be called a doctor if she’s not fully one yet. Dolly continues to insult Sagar, but Anupama intervenes, asking Dolly why she’s speaking this way. Dolly, agitated, says Toshu, Pakhi, and Vanraj have all seen them together. Anupama counters by asking if a boy and girl can’t be friends, and questions why everyone always assumes something more. Dolly accuses Anupama of trying to ruin her daughter’s life, just as she “ruined” her parents’ lives, and warns her not to interfere. She then drags Meenu away, leaving Sagar swearing that nothing is going on between him and Meenu. Anupama feels conflicted and thinks Sagar wouldn’t lie to her, but her doubt lingers.
Anuj reaches the office and is greeted warmly by the employees. They express their happiness at seeing him and confide that the company has suffered due to Barkha and Ankush’s mismanagement. They reveal that they were told Anuj had gone to the US and that things have only gotten worse since. Anuj apologizes and promises to fix things. They express their support, but warn him that the company is on the verge of closure.
Meanwhile, Sagar feels guilty for swearing falsely on Anupama. He confesses this to Bala, who expresses concern. Anupama sees them talking and becomes suspicious, wondering if Dolly might be right after all.
Anuj steps into his old office and notices Ankush’s name on the door. He calls Anupama, telling her that he’s struggling to process Ankush’s betrayal. Anuj explains how he always treated Ankush like a brother, helping him in his bad times, but now feels deeply hurt. The worst betrayal, Anuj says, wasn’t losing the business but Ankush lying about Aadhya, which he cannot forgive. Anupama comforts him, saying business betrayals can sometimes be forgiven, but family betrayals can’t. She urges him to demand answers from Ankush and Barkha about why they lied about Aadhya. Anuj, filled with resolve, agrees.
Elsewhere, Toshu is on the phone with a doctor, requesting medicine for his headache. Kinjal brings him a herbal remedy, joking that his unease stems from Vanraj’s “tigress” sister coming in and taking control. She expresses satisfaction at seeing him and Pakhi get a taste of their own medicine and advises him not to stress. Toshu, irritated, mutters that if Vanraj and his sister are tigers, then he’s a lion, and he’ll handle them in his own way.
Meanwhile, Ankush is on the phone with Barkha, frustrated that she’s left him to deal with things while she’s with Sara. He anxiously wonders what will happen if Anupama shows up. Just then, he sees Anuj approaching and is shocked. Anuj, with anger simmering, asks if Ankush isn’t happy to see him well. Ankush tries to cover up, saying he’s thrilled, and nervously asks where Anuj has been. He tries to hug Anuj, but Anuj remains cold and distant, clearly displeased.
