Dil Ko Tumse Pyaar Hua 12th September 2024 Written Update
During the *muh dikhayi* (face unveiling) ritual, Deepika feels makeup on her hands and realizes that Jahnvi deliberately didn’t let her look at herself in the mirror after doing her makeup. Lavanya watches the scene with a satisfied grin. As Payal lifts Deepika’s veil, she is stunned by the heavy makeup. Lavanya smugly tells Mrs. Shekhawat that she always picks the best for her family, hinting at her DIL’s appearance. Payal tries to remove some of Deepika’s makeup, but Deepika stops her and says, “It’s Lavanya’s blessings.” Payal, impressed by Deepika’s calmness, says that Deepika’s patience is a true blessing for the family.
Suddenly, Deepika notices Roshni drowning in the swimming pool. Without thinking twice, she runs, jumps in, and rescues her. Payal, relieved, thanks Deepika for saving Roshni. Meanwhile, the guests whisper about the family’s carelessness for not noticing Roshni in danger.
As this happens, Mrs. Shekhawat, who now notices Deepika’s true skin tone under the makeup, starts to taunt Lavanya. She accuses Lavanya of rejecting her daughter for Chirag because of her dark skin, only to bring a dark-skinned girl into the family. The guests begin to speculate that Chirag and Deepika’s marriage must be a love match, because Lavanya wouldn’t have willingly chosen a dark-skinned bride for her son.
Mrs. Shekhawat continues to make demeaning remarks, but Deepika steps forward to defend Lavanya. She confronts Mrs. Shekhawat, saying, “How can you insult my mother-in-law like this? Lavanya knew people like you would judge me by my skin tone, which is why she insisted on makeup.” Mrs. Shekhawat scoffs, claiming she knows Lavanya well and wouldn’t believe she’d accept a dark-skinned girl into the family. Deepika, remaining composed, responds, “God created both fair and dark skin. Who are we to question His work?”
Chirag joins in, defending Deepika, “You were all just praising my wife for her features, but now you choose to criticize her for her complexion. Isn’t that hypocrisy?” Humiliated, Mrs. Shekhawat leaves the event. The family, touched by Deepika’s actions, praises her for not only saving Roshni but also for protecting Lavanya’s dignity.
Later that night, Lavanya, consumed by anger from Mrs. Shekhawat’s insults, begins to break things in her room. Deepika walks in to apologize, but before she can, Chirag rushes in and stops her, insisting that she doesn’t need to say sorry. Deepika tries to justify Lavanya’s decision to put makeup on her, comparing it to wearing sunglasses to shield one’s eyes from the sun.
Meanwhile, Jahnvi, thinking Lavanya would be pleased with her makeup job, calls her. However, Lavanya scolds her angrily, blaming her for not using waterproof makeup on Deepika. Fuming, Lavanya begins plotting her next move and calls someone to meet her immediately, her mind already brewing a new plan.
