Yeh Hai Chahatein 10th September 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Kashvi telling Mahima that this is her only chance to correct her mistake. Mahima asks how they will trap Nitya. Kashvi responds, “We need to come up with a plan that will make Nitya confess all her crimes so that Arjun and Karun can hear it directly from her.” Romila adds, “For that, we all need to be united.” Meera suggests, “This could happen during the *godh bharayi* ceremony.” Kashvi reminds her, “But that function is traditionally done in the seventh month of pregnancy.” Meera, determined, says, “I’ll make sure it happens tomorrow.” She then turns to Mahima, asking her to be prepared. Mahima nods in agreement. Meera later approaches Arjun, asking, “Should we go ahead with my *godh bharayi*?” Arjun, surprised, reminds her, “It’s usually done in the seventh month.” Meera counters, “So, should we not do it?” Nitya steps in and says, “I think we should do it for Meera’s happiness.” Jagdish agrees with Nitya. Meera then asks, “When should we hold it?” Arjun replies, “Tomorrow.” Jagdish adds, “I’ll send out the invitations.” Meanwhile, Nitya secretly plans to harm Meera’s baby during the ceremony.
Later, Jagdish starts calling guests, while Karun busies himself with deciding the food menu. Arjun, on the other hand, focuses on picking out clothes for Meera. Nitya then mentions that she’s unable to reach the Pandit and that she’ll go to the market to buy a few things. Before leaving, she asks Arjun to stay close to Meera and not let her overexert herself.
At the market, Nitya visits an incense stick shop. She tells the shopkeeper, “I need incense sticks that can harm a pregnant woman and her baby.” The shopkeeper hands her the sticks, and she asks, “Will they harm anyone else?” He reassures her, “No, only the pregnant woman will be affected.”
Meanwhile, Dadi grows worried that Mahima might spoil their plan, leaving Karun in the dark about the truth. Romila calls Meera, asking if all the preparations are in place. Meera reassures her, saying, “Yes, don’t worry. Everything is ready.”
Later, when Dadi and Romila arrive, Nitya gets upset, but Jagdish informs her that he invited them. Meera tries to calm Nitya, saying, “Don’t worry, they’ll leave after the function.” Nitya, however, sinisterly thinks to herself, *They’ll witness Meera losing her baby*. She then helps Meera put on her floral jewelry and asks the Pandit to begin the ceremony. The Pandit lights the incense sticks, and the guests start arriving, showering Meera with gifts. Nitya, noticing that nothing is happening to Meera, asks the Pandit to light more incense sticks. Frustrated that Meera is unaffected, Nitya excuses herself and angrily calls the shopkeeper, accusing him of giving her the wrong incense sticks. “They aren’t working!” she exclaims. The shopkeeper insists, “I gave you the right ones. If you file a case against me, you’ll end up in jail too.”
Nitya, still confused about why the incense sticks aren’t working, turns around to find Arjun holding one of them. “How could you stoop so low?” he asks. “You brought these sticks to kill Meera and her baby.” He then shows her a video of her purchasing the incense sticks and scolding the shopkeeper over the phone. Shocked, Nitya demands, “Who filmed this?” Kashvi steps forward and says, “I did.” A flashback shows Kashvi secretly recording Nitya buying the incense sticks. Afterward, Kashvi had approached the shopkeeper, asking for the same incense sticks and threatening to call the police if he didn’t cooperate. He then handed her regular incense sticks, and Kashvi swapped them with the harmful ones. The flashback ends.
Nitya tries to deny everything, accusing Kashvi of lying. Kashvi turns to Arjun, explaining, “When I brought your phone back, I saw Nitya adding something to Meera’s kheer. The doctor confirmed that Meera had eaten something harmful, and that’s when I began keeping an eye on her. The next day, I overheard her talking to someone, and later, that same man came to attack Meera.” Another flashback shows Nitya hiring the contract killer, and Kashvi stopping and confronting him. The flashback ends.
Jagdish, horrified, asks Nitya, “How could you do this? That baby is our grandchild.” Nitya, with bitterness, reveals, “That baby isn’t ours, and that’s why I did it. I asked Arjun to throw her out, but he didn’t listen. I had no other option.” Kashvi chimes in, “You were willing to kill an unborn child! I became suspicious when you agreed to the *godh bharayi* so easily. That’s why I followed you.” Romila then adds, “Dadi was concerned for Meera’s baby, so I switched the harmful incense sticks with the ordinary ones.”
Arjun, devastated, confronts Nitya, “How could you? You tried to kill an innocent unborn child with these incense sticks, and you even hired a contract killer!” Nitya continues to deny the accusation, claiming, “I didn’t hire any killer!” Just then, Mahima arrives and tells her, “Stop lying.”
