Jhanak 20th January 2025 Written Episode
The episode begins with Rihaan arriving at Vihaan’s house accompanied by his police team. The village inspector informs Bhavesh that Rihaan received a tip-off about a criminal hiding in the house. Rihaan asks Bhavesh to call all the family members. Hitesh dismisses the idea of a criminal being in their home, suggesting that Rihaan might be mistaken. Priyanshi informs Anirudh about the police’s arrival, prompting him to head downstairs.
Ketki insists that their family’s reputation makes it unimaginable for them to shelter a criminal. Rihaan stands firm, stating his information is correct. Ketki defends her family, noting that even their servants have been with them for years. The inspector demands to see the daughters-in-law and servants. Ketki refuses to summon them without a valid reason, emphasizing her family’s dignity.
Jhanak grows anxious upon seeing the police and hides, fearing arrest. Sejal notices Jhanak’s nervousness and speculates that she might be guilty, questioning whether Vihaan is aware of it. Prachi tries to downplay Sejal’s suspicions, but Sejal continues to accuse Jhanak, considering her the newest arrival. Jhanak, worried, mentions that she is going to meet Ahaan. Sejal suggests she face the questioning in the hall, but Jhanak retreats further inside.
Babuji enters and learns about the situation from Ketki. He stands by his family. Anirudh confronts Rihaan, demanding details about the supposed crime. Rihaan explains that they are looking for a new person in the house. Anirudh clarifies that the younger son has recently returned with his wife and son. Rihaan mentions the names Nutan and Jhanak as possible suspects, but Praveen Kumar insists that no one by those names resides there. Rihaan maintains that he is just performing his duty. Anirudh demands proof, standing firm in defense of his family’s honor. Villagers arrive to support Vihaan’s family.
Mrinalini’s father visits Dadu and Dadi to discuss Mrinalini and Choton’s upcoming marriage. He expresses readiness for the event but places a condition: after marriage, Mrinalini must live in her family’s home, with Choton visiting her. Amitabh is surprised, questioning how such an arrangement could work. Choton reassures Mrinalini’s father about Mrinalini’s well-being, but the condition causes tension.
Back at the house, Anirudh instructs Bhavesh to gather everyone. Ketki vows to confront whoever is responsible. Babuji tries to calm her down. Bhavesh gathers the women, and Ketki introduces her family members. The inspector inspects the servants but clarifies that the search is for a specific girl. Mrinalini’s father criticizes Shubh’s actions, revealing his concerns about the marriage if it weren’t for their long-standing relationship. He insists that his condition is motivated by concern for Mrinalini’s future. This causes friction, with Tanuja perceiving his stance as an insult. Mrinalini defends her father, while Choton questions whether the marriage can go ahead. Anirudh visits Jhanak’s room, where she nervously asks about the police investigation. He advises her to introduce herself as Avni if questioned and reassures her that self-defense is not a crime. Despite her fear, he convinces her to wear a veil and come downstairs with him, promising to protect her. He tells her not to reveal anything to Vihaan yet and leaves.
