Anupama 20th January 2025 Written Update
The episode begins with Rahi telling Anupama not to worry too much and to relax, assuring her that their regular clients will place orders. Anupama replies that many households rely on Anu ki rasoi, and if something goes wrong, she won’t be able to start from scratch again. Rahi reassures her, saying that Prem is with them. She hugs her and urges her to let go of Parag Kothari and not dwell on him. Anupama expresses that she will still pray for Khyati to be reunited with her son and for Prarthana’s better future. Rahi tells her that others don’t matter to them. She asks, “Where is Prem?” and Anupama gestures for her to look.
Moti Baa asks Prem to repeat what he just said. Prem declares that he intends to marry Rahi. He adds that if anyone hurts his mother or Rahi, he will be against them, and will support his loved ones. He notes that he knows Parag can’t handle defeat. Everyone is stunned. Prem says this time he’s come home, but the next time he won’t show his face again. Anil tries to intervene. Mita and Moti Baa also urge him to stop Prem. Anil acknowledges that Prem holds a special place in their hearts, and having returned after all these years, he asks them to stop him. Badshah encourages him to stop Tinku Bhaiyya. Anil says to stop Tinku now that he’s back. Moti Baa comments that both father and son are equally stubborn. She tries to prevent him from leaving but ends up falling. Parag shouts, “Baa!” Prem turns and shouts, “Moti Baa!” He rushes to her side and helps her drink some water. Moti Baa tells him not to leave, reminding him that his father loves him deeply and would do anything for him, even cutting everyone’s kite on Sankranti. A flashback is shown of this moment. Both Prem and Parag become emotional.
Khyati pleads with Prem to stay, asking if he can’t forget his anger today. Prem replies that she should be happy because he left home because of her. Parag warns him that he won’t tolerate any disrespect towards his mother. Prem, confused, asks, “Mother?” He says he will leave. Moti Baa begs him not to go. Anil implores him to stay for his sake. Prem says he has no issue with Anil or Kaki, as they are like his parents, but his problem lies with certain people in the house. He tells Raja to take care of everyone and encourages Prarthana to speak for herself. Spotting Badshah wearing his t-shirt, Prem jokes that he does so whenever he misses him. Badshah requests his autograph, which Prem happily gives. He tells Moti Baa that although she prepared his favorite kheer and decorated his room, he can’t stay. Parag demands that he leave, asserting that if he can live without them, they will survive without him. Prem replies that if that’s the case, why did they keep calling him? He points out that he’s no longer a child who can be silenced with candy. He’s living a happier life without them. Parag yells in frustration. Prem walks away. Gautam grins. Moti Baa advises Parag that when a son is stubborn, the father must bend for the sake of the family. Parag responds that he can bend for love, but not for stubbornness.
Gautam fuels Parag’s resentment against Anupama and Rahi, claiming they’ve manipulated Prem, who is unaware of it. Prem returns home, and Rahi asks where he’s been. She then inquires about his mood. Prem replies that he’s very hungry. She gently takes his hand, guiding him inside, and sits him down, offering him a plate of sweets. He doesn’t eat. Rahi asks why he seems upset. Prem explains that he’s bothered by Kothari’s ill treatment of both of them. Rahi admits that while Mummy doesn’t show it, she’s deeply hurt. Prem expresses his desire to tell her something and remembers Anupama’s earlier question. Rahi encourages him to speak. He rests his head on her lap and becomes emotional. Rahi, concerned, asks what’s troubling him. Prem tells her not to judge him right away, to hear him out first. Rahi assures him that she trusts him completely, even more than herself. He wonders if he should tell her. He looks at the family members and says that despite their fights, they stay together, and they feel like family to him, and he wants to stay with them. Rahi asks how to cheer him up. Prem distances himself, saying he needs to share something that will shock her. He tells her that he has no ties to his previous family anymore; this family is now his. He admits he lied about being an orphan, as he didn’t want anyone to know that he’s Parag Kothari’s son. He says he can never forgive his father for hurting his mother, Gayatri. He looks up and sees Rahi standing in the kitchen with Anupama. Rahi brings him coffee and offers it to him. Prem starts to speak but is cut off as she insists he drinks the coffee. He gazes at her and gently touches her cheek.
Ansh appears worried. Pari enters with a jacket she designed for him. She asks if he’s upset about Anu Maa and Rahi’s actions and says they did the right thing. Ansh, frustrated, says they shouldn’t have done it, explaining that he has a meeting with the MD in two days, and if they find out about his connection to them, they might cancel it. Pari reassures him by reminding him that he is Ansh Shah, while Anu Maa’s surname is Joshi, and Rahi’s is Kapadia. Ansh decides to keep their relationship a secret.
Gautam tells Parag about Anupama and Rahi’s backgrounds, explaining that Anupama was married to Vanraj Shah before Anuj Kapadia. Parag acknowledges Anuj as the businessman. Gautam adds that Rahi has run away from home twice. Moti Baa insists that they must protect Prem from them. Parag calls Anupama, requesting to meet her for an important conversation.
