Mangal Lakshmi 19th January 2025 Written Episode Update
Adit competes with Sudesh in a kite-flying contest while Kusum suddenly feels dizzy. Shanti notices and comments that Kusum doesn’t seem well. Kusum admits that she hasn’t taken her BP medication since morning and decides to leave to take it. As Kusum walks away, Sowmya pretends to receive a phone call and steps aside. To maintain the illusion of her presence, she hooks her dupatta onto a nail in the corner and sneaks off.
Kusum’s vision begins to blur. Sowmya, disguised as Mangal, appears in front of her. Struggling to see clearly, Kusum stumbles backward and falls to the ground. Disoriented, Kusum asks who it is. At the same time, Mangal approaches Shanti, inquiring about Kusum’s whereabouts. Adit interrupts, advising Mangal to hold the thread spindle/firki properly to avoid cutting the kite thread. Mangal agrees and continues with the kite-flying.
Sowmya, now in a secluded corner, removes her disguise and quietly leaves. She swaps Mangal’s kite and manja/thread with tampered ones before slipping away unnoticed. Back at the competition, Adit admits to Akshat and Ishana that he’s feeling tired. Mangal offers to take over and unknowingly uses the tampered kite and manja. As Adit and Mangal try to fly the kite, Kusum approaches them. The sharp manja strikes Kusum, severely injuring her and causing her to lose consciousness.
The Saxena family gathers around in distress as Adit carries Kusum to her room. The doctor examines her and explains that Kusum’s blood pressure is alarmingly high, likely because she missed her morning medication. The doctor prescribes the necessary medicines and advises the family to ensure Kusum takes them regularly before leaving. Troubled by the severity of Kusum’s injury, Mangal wonders how the manja could have caused such damage. She inspects it and discovers glass powder embedded in the thread.
Feeling responsible, Adit blames himself for Kusum’s injury. However, Mangal reassures him, explaining that the injury wasn’t his fault but rather the result of the tampered manja. She shows the family the glass-coated thread. Overhearing this, Sowmya accuses Mangal of bringing the dangerous manja into the house. Defending herself, Mangal explains that she had thoroughly checked the manja when she purchased it and insists it was fine at the time. She adds that the kite and thread had gone missing for some time and somehow ended up on the terrace. Sowmya continues blaming Mangal, demanding she admit her mistake.
Gayatri enters Raghuveer’s room and finds items belonging to his wife. Raghuveer confronts her, asking what she’s doing there. Gayatri claims she came looking for him because of a headache. Raghuveer gives her medicine but sternly warns her never to enter his room or touch anything in it again. Gayatri agrees and later thanks Raghuveer for not revealing her actions to Lakshmi. A flashback reveals that Raghuveer had followed Gayatri’s goon and overheard their conversation. Raghuveer emphasizes that their priority is getting Karthik out of jail. He tells Gayatri that once Karthik is free, she must reveal the truth to Lakshmi. Gayatri reluctantly agrees.
Raghuveer then informs Gayatri that Sanjana is aiding Jia. Surprised by this revelation, Gayatri listens as Raghuveer outlines their next move: visiting the Kalbhairav temple to execute their plan. Sanjana, unaware of the unfolding events, manipulates Lakshmi into going to the temple under a false pretense. At the temple, Jia and her mother arrive, where Raghuveer, disguised as a Babaji, confronts them. He inquires who is being haunted by a ghost. Jia’s mother responds that the girl is on her way. Gayatri secretly observes the scene and calls Lakshmi to warn her. However, Lakshmi has forgotten her phone at home, and Sanjana answers the call instead. Gayatri unwittingly reveals her survival, shocking Sanjana. Meanwhile, Lakshmi arrives at the temple, unaware of the dangers awaiting her.
