Anupama 5th January 2025 Written Update
The episode begins with Mahi calling Kavya, but she doesn’t answer the call. Anupama reassures her, saying Kavya must be busy and will return the call once she sees it. Mahi says that a mother should always pick up her child’s call and jokes that Kavya must be getting a beauty treatment to hide her age. Anupama tells her not to say such things about her mother. Mahi responds that she has been scolded a lot lately. Anupama says that Mahi is losing patience and that Kavya will call her. Mahi shares that she wants to tell Kavya about her engagement. Anupama asks if Mahi will call her Anu Maa or Mummy. Mahi says she thought of calling her, had Rahi not found her. Anupama asks if she is not her mother just because Rahi is back. Mahi calls her Anu Maa and hugs her. Anupama promises to talk to Kavya and assures Mahi not to worry. Mahi mentions she wants to go engagement shopping. Anupama offers her debit card, but tells her not to overspend. Mahi says she wants to buy something for everyone. Anupama agrees and tells her to go ahead, mentioning that it feels like she has become a mother to yet another child.
Mahi and Prem arrive at a wedding boutique. The manager asks if they are looking to do twinning. Prem says, “As you say.” Mahi agrees to the twinning idea. The salesgirl heads off to fetch the collection. Mahi mentions that Ansh, Pari, and Rahi went shopping separately. Prem wonders if Rahi is avoiding him, which is why she went separately. Mahi thinks it’s a good thing Rahi didn’t come along. Prem is surprised to spot Rahi in the same shop, trying on an orange dress. Rahi thinks she came here to avoid Prem, yet now has to try on this dress. Both stare at each other. Mahi notices and says, “You are here?” Rahi replies that she came because she liked the collection on display and offers to give the dress to Mahi to try. Mahi declines, saying she doesn’t want it now.
Anupama asks Janki behen about the customers paying money. Janki behen reassures her that everything will be fine. She suggests that there’s no need to spend excessively as Prem’s family isn’t here. Anupama says she wants a lavish wedding for Mahi because Mahi never asked for anything except Prem. She then receives a message from Kavya, which leaves her shocked.
Mahi feels upset seeing Rahi in the shop and thinks, why does Rahi always come between them? She assures herself that even though Rahi might try, Prem will be hers. Rahi trips and falls, with Prem catching her, and they end up tumbling onto the clothes. A song plays in the background. Mahi is in a fitting room trying on a dress. Prem and Rahi get up. The salesgirls, seeing them, ask if they are a couple, to which Rahi responds that Prem is marrying her sister. They apologize, and Prem says there’s no need to apologize, as they make a perfect pair. Mahi reappears and shows her dress. Prem says the color looks great on her and suggests he will wear white because orange and white look good together. Mahi agrees.
Anupama expresses that Kavya texted her saying she couldn’t attend the wedding due to being busy. She worries that Mahi will be upset. Janki behen reassures her, saying there is no comparison between Kavya and Anupama, as Anupama has taken care of Mahi like a mother. Anupama says she shares a loving bond with Mahi and adds that Mahi supported her when Rahi wasn’t around. Anupama confirms she will do Mahi’s kanyadaan as her own mother and do whatever it takes to make her happy. Janki behen nods, saying that Anupama is great for doing so much for Mahi, despite her connection with Kavya, who broke her home. Anupama mentions that she will never punish Mahi for someone else’s mistake. As she answers a call, Janki behen recalls Rahi’s words and debates whether to tell Anupama about Rahi and Prem’s feelings. She wonders whether she should break her vow or risk breaking their hearts.
Rahi tells them to do the billing, saying she’ll pick something up for Mummy. Prem asks why Rahi’s feet seem hurt. Mahi also inquires. Rahi mentions it’s just a small sprain. Prem offers to go together, but Mahi interrupts, looking at him and telling Rahi that she knows Prem is her jija ji and Rahi should keep a distance from him. She says she wants to be his best friend too and doesn’t want their friendship to get in the way. Mahi warns that misunderstandings can arise, just like with Ansh.
Anupama meets a lady at a restaurant, who mentions that it’s her first kitty party, and she joined it based on her bahu’s suggestion. Anupama says she made a good choice, and shares that a woman feels lonely when her kids start their own families. The lady says she will finalize the menu with her wife. She offers to drop Anupama home, but Anupama declines, deciding to stay a bit longer to review the menu.
Prem thinks about what Mahi and Rahi discussed, wondering why Rahi seems upset. A goon recognizes Prem and Rahi and greets them, mentioning that he was the one who had stolen their belongings and that his Bhabhi had beaten them up. He says Prem is lucky to have such a loving girl and walks away. Mahi gets angry and questions Prem about calling Rahi “Bhabhi.” Prem tells her to get into the jeep. Rahi explains that she had beaten the goons for attacking Prem, just like she fought for Ansh. She tells Mahi not to let such people spoil her mood. Mahi storms off, and Rahi follows, but Prem grabs her hand and demands an explanation. He asks why she beat up the goons. Rahi asks him to let go, and walks after Mahi. Prem stands there, confused, thinking that everything is wrong.
Anupama notices Prarthana in the restaurant. She drops a photo of Prem and Rahi, picks it up, and then approaches her.
