Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 7th September 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Abhira dancing and playfully placing a cap on Dadi’s head. She cheerfully says, “You are the elder here, so I expect your blessings.” Everyone claps. Dadi, curious, asks, “How did you get the money?” Armaan responds, “From a loan.” But Abhira corrects him, saying, “No, my loan hasn’t been approved yet.” Dadi presses further, “Then how did you get the money?” Abhira smiles and explains, “I have my parents’ savings. Middle-class parents are quirky but sweet. Dads wear old shoes to work, and moms sit for puja in old sarees, all the while saving money for their kids. My mum was the same—quirky but adorable. Kipling uncle called to tell me that my mum used to invest money every month for my future, and today, the returns came through. I was worried, but I’ve never been alone. My mum and dad have always been with me. I’ve kept their honor, and I’ve fulfilled my promise to them.” Everyone smiles warmly at her words.
The preparations continue, and everyone gets ready for the function. Abhira compliments them on how great they all look. Vidya admires the decorations, calling the function a hit. She also mentions that Manish had spoken to her and said he would be attending. Rohit then prompts Abhira to begin the rasam. Abhira, excited, says, “Wait, I’ll get my mum and dad’s picture.” Armaan offers to help, and their cousins tease him playfully. Together, Abhira and Armaan bring the picture and place it, though Ruhi doesn’t notice. She suddenly feels unwell, saying she has a headache. Rohit suggests seeing a doctor, but Ruhi insists, “No, I just need some rest,” and leaves.
Dadi, full of affection, wishes that Abhira always has her parents’ blessings. Everyone places flowers by the picture as a sign of respect. Vidya then inquires about the Nath rasam, and Abhira guides her through the process. Vidya performs the Nath puja while Abhira, lost in thought, smiles, silently missing her parents. “I miss you, Mum and Dad,” she thinks to herself. “I wish you were here with me.” Just then, Manish, Suwarna, and Surekha arrive, with the song *Hamari Banno Pyaari* playing in the background.
As they enter, the dupatta accidentally falls over the picture, so Manish doesn’t see it. Spotting Abhira, Manish muses, “Why do I always see Akshu in her?” Suwarna, slightly irritated, reminds him, “You don’t see Ruhi—she’s your daughter, not Abhira.” Manish brushes it off, saying, “I was just thinking aloud.” Surekha, sensing the tension, steps in and tells them not to argue. Abhira runs excitedly to Manish, exclaiming, “You’re late, but you look dashing! You both look great, come in!”
Dadi then places the Nath on Abhira, and everyone applauds. Feeling victorious, Abhira announces, “I’ve won! Let’s not talk about that contract anymore.” Vidya then asks Abhira to light the 11 shagun diyas. As Manish watches, he remarks, “This moment feels strangely familiar, like an old memory.” Abhira thanks him for his support. Manish asks, “Did your loan finally get approved?” Abhira smiles and says, “No, but my mum saved me—she had invested for me, and the returns came today. She raised me alone and showered me with so much love.” Manish, touched, replies, “That’s how mums are. How did you know about this Himachali rasam?” Abhira explains, “My dad was from Kasauli.” Hearing this, Manish recalls Abhinav and asks, “And your mum?” Abhira continues, “I asked her about our past and family, but she never told me much.” Before the conversation can go further, everyone pulls Abhira away to dance. They all begin to dance, but Abhira notices Ruhi in the corner.
