Anupama 5th December 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Prem trying to wake Rahi up. Rahi regains consciousness and looks at him. She realizes her locket is missing but then finds herself wearing it. She asks how it ended up with her. Prem replies that it doesn’t matter, as both she and the locket are safe. Rahi then asks him to show his hand, noticing that he bandaged her injuries but not his own. Prem thanks God that she’s safe.
Toshu stumbles home drunk. The client lady calls him, asking if the food will be delivered on time. Toshu slurs that there’s no need to worry when he’s around and hopes Rahi handles everything.
Rahi brings over the medicine box and starts bandaging his hand. He imagines her kissing his hand. He asks if she’d like some coffee and takes out the coffee from the carton she had brought along with the medicine box. He prepares the coffee and hands it to her. She thanks him for saving her. He asks if she believes he’s a hero, or just a sidekick. She wonders if he had beaten up the person who hurt him. He chuckles and says he’s a real-life hero. He asks why she didn’t scream. Rahi explains that the locket was her father’s last keepsake, and if she lost it, it would have felt like losing him all over again. She offers him the coffee. Prem laughs and says that she’s the real hero, pointing out her ‘milk mustache’ in a photo on his phone. She laughs and says people used to tease her about it at the ashram. Prem smiles and says she looks beautiful when she laughs, urging her to keep laughing.
Prem tells Rahi that when a person faces too many challenges in life, they often forget how to laugh. He says life gives us two choices: to cry or face the situation. He adds that there’s a little child inside her, afraid of being hurt, pretending to be brave. He tells her he loves her, but Rahi, already asleep, doesn’t hear him. He smiles and says he’s lucky she didn’t catch him, or she’d have made fun of him. He softly repeats, “I love you, Rahi,” to which she responds in her sleep, “I love you… toffee, Gauri, Kaveri…” He smiles at her response.
The next morning, Prem makes flower petals fall on Rahi as a sweet gesture to wake her. He says, “Good morning.” She groggily responds that it’s already morning. He asks if she remembers what he said last night. She tells him to stop talking nonsense and just drive. Realizing she’s forgotten to tell the driver to pick up the food order, Rahi calls him and arranges for the food to be delivered on time. She tells the client lady that the food will arrive in 30 minutes, fresh and hot.
Mahi expresses concern that Rahi and Prem have been missing since last night. Just as Ansh is about to call them, they both return. Mahi demands to know where Prem took Rahi all night. Rahi says she’ll explain later but asks if the food was delivered. Ansh reassures her that it was. Rahi relaxes and hopes the client likes the food.
Anupama arrives and greets Rahi. She’s about to touch Rahi’s cheek, but Rahi flinches. Anupama places her hand gently on Rahi’s cheek and says she went to Dwarka, to the ashram. Rahi asks if everything is okay, and Anupama explains that Bubbly was sick, so she took her to the hospital. She adds that Vyas Ji called her. Rahi wonders why he didn’t call her directly. Anupama explains that she advised him not to disturb Rahi since she was busy with the order. She tells Anupama she paid for Bubbly’s hospital expenses and told the doctor not to discharge her until she’s better. She apologizes to Ansh for missing his birthday. He replies that it’s fine since she was helping someone. Anupama asks where Baa is and if there’s been any argument. Rahi says there’s nothing to worry about.
Suddenly, Jigna throws cow dung at Rahi, but Anupama steps in front of her and shields her. The cow dung hits Anupama instead. Jigna accuses Rahi of betraying her and tells Anupama that she asked for a half-day leave, but Rahi refused, which caused her to be late in taking her relative to the hospital, leading to a serious situation. Janki behen intervenes and tells Jigna to calm down. Jigna accuses Rahi of being arrogant and uncaring, saying Rahi thinks of herself as the boss but never cares for the workers’ families. She curses Rahi, saying she will never be happy.
Janki behen tells Anupama that Jigna is deeply upset. She explains that while Anupama can make anyone a partner in the business, it’s different when it comes to people’s lives. She adds that she had tried to help Jigna, but Rahi’s pride got in the way. She says that if Anupama hadn’t been there, they’d have died hungry, but they will never work for Rahi again. Anupama looks at Rahi with concern.
Just then, the police arrive. The client lady accuses Rahi of causing their relatives to fall ill after eating the food from Anu ki Rasoi. Anupama is stunned. The client claims that the food was two hours late, and after eating, her relatives were rushed to the hospital due to severe vomiting. She scolds Anupama for the delay and for false promises about homemade food. Anupama tries to reassure her, but Toshu steps in, blaming Rahi for the delay and reminding her that he had offered to arrange the delivery, but she insisted on doing it herself. Janki behen says she warned Rahi, but she didn’t listen. Jigna mocks Rahi, saying “As you sow, so shall you reap.” Mahi questions Rahi’s intentions and whether she wanted to get the rasoi closed. Pakhi hints at Rahi’s mysterious disappearance with Prem all night.
The Inspector orders Rahi’s arrest. Anupama steps in and says she is partially responsible for the business, offering herself to take the blame. She admits it’s her mistake for not being there to supervise the order’s delivery. She apologizes to the client lady for the mishap. Rahi looks on in shock, seeing how Anupama is protecting her. Anupama calmly agrees to accompany the police and sit in the jeep. Everyone watches as the scene unfolds.
