Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 2nd September 2024 Written Update

The Episode starts with Vidya calling Armaan and asking him to select a Kalgi design. Armaan, busy with a client, tells her he’ll call back later. Vidya agrees and ends the call. She then tries to reach Abhira, asking her to choose a Maang Tika design. Abhira, also tied up with a client, responds that she’s busy and will talk in the evening as she’s about to enter a hearing. Vidya, slightly frustrated, thinks Abhira could have made the selection in just two minutes. Abhira, noticing Vidya’s 20 missed calls, tries to call her back. Vidya, still eager to finalize the design, urges Abhira to check and confirm quickly. Abhira, preoccupied with the hearing, insists she’ll handle it later. Awasthi, a client, interrupts and argues with Abhira, adding to her stress.

Meanwhile, Vidya, unaware of Abhira’s situation, continues trying to reach her, urging her to finalize the Maang Tika. After a tense exchange with Awasthi, Abhira decides to call Vidya and apologize, but Vidya doesn’t answer. Ruhi approaches Abhira, pointing out that she’s upset Vidya. Meanwhile, Manisha and Kajal try to convince Vidya to talk to Abhira about the design. Vidya, frustrated, asks them to inform the designer that Abhira is too busy to make a decision. Armaan arrives just as this conversation takes place. Ruhi then tries to comfort Abhira by explaining that she’s busy, offering her detox water to help.

At that moment, a lady named Kirti Singh enters, seeking legal advice about creating a marriage contract for her son to protect his assets in case his wife leaves. Abhira, shocked by Kirti’s intentions, refuses to take the case, criticizing the idea of forcing a daughter-in-law to waive her rights, especially without any financial support if she decides to leave due to mistreatment. Ruhi witnesses this and notes Abhira’s concern about rejecting the client and her ongoing struggle with loan payments.

Meanwhile, Vidya is engaged in a puja when Manisha, Kajal, and Armaan approach her to talk. Annoyed by the interruption, Vidya scolds them, emphasizing the importance of her prayer time. Armaan defends Abhira, pointing out that her work is just as sacred to her as Vidya’s worship is to her. Kajal adds that they are also working for Abhira’s upcoming wedding, but Vidya walks away, still upset.

Abhira, reflecting on the day’s events, feels overwhelmed and disheartened. Armaan, noticing her mood, joins her, offering support. She thanks him for understanding and giving her space. They discuss the pressures placed on women, particularly the expectation to balance career and personal life. Abhira admits that she’s been foolish, understanding everything too late, especially regarding Vidya’s concerns about the wedding. Armaan reassures her, acknowledging the unfair expectations society places on women. She confides in him about the contract case she turned down, feeling it was wrong to assume a daughter-in-law could be a gold digger without evidence.

Armaan praises her for standing up for what’s right. They share a light moment, leading to a playful fight and a hug. Meanwhile, Sanjay, stressed out while reviewing some files, is brought coffee by Ruhi. As he sips the coffee, Ruhi casually mentions that the staff gave her Armaan and Abhira’s marriage contract papers, which Sanjay didn’t authorize. Startled, he asks who made the papers, and Ruhi assumes it was either him or Dadi. She explains that the papers seemed intended to protect the family’s assets if the couple were to separate, then casually leaves him to finish his coffee.

Madhav then visits Abhira, inviting her to have coffee with him. Sanjay, concerned, goes to Dadi to discuss the situation. Abhira, still thinking about the day’s events, expresses her strong opposition to marriage contracts, emphasizing that relationships should be built on love, not legal agreements. Dadi agrees, stating she would never support a marriage contract. However, Sanjay, suspicious of Abhira’s intentions, voices his concerns, fearing she might be a gold digger and stressing the need to protect the family’s assets.
