Anupama 1st September 2024 Written Update
The Episode starts with everyone crying in the hospital. Anuj arrives, and Aadhya tearfully says, “Pops… Mummy has left us forever.” Everyone is devastated. Anuj refuses to believe it, saying, “This can’t be true, you’re mistaken. Anu can’t leave me.” He places his hand on the OT door, calling out to Anupama, asking if she can hear him. He pleads with her to wake up, saying they can’t be apart from each other. He cries, begging her to get up, reminding her that Kanha ji gave her to him as a gift and asks her not to leave him. He desperately asks Babu ji to tell her to wake up, and questions why she isn’t listening. He calls her name repeatedly, saying Kanha ji promised they would never be separated.
Suddenly, the machine starts beeping and shows normal lines. The doctors, still present, see the machine’s readings and are shocked. One of the doctors says, “She’s alive! It’s a miracle, truly unbelievable.” They quickly put the oxygen mask back on her. The doctor comes out to inform everyone, saying, “Anupama ji is alive; it’s a miracle.” Anuj, relieved, says, “I knew it!” and thanks the doctor. Toshu, confused, asks how this happened since the doctor previously declared her dead. Meenu explains the medical phenomenon that occurred. Anuj, however, attributes it to Kanha ji’s miracle. Toshu, now overjoyed, hugs Babu ji. Sagar relays the good news to Bala, who then informs the others, bringing happiness to everyone. Kinjal rushes to Baa, excitedly telling her that Anupama is out of danger. Baa, overwhelmed with emotion, hugs her.
Anuj goes into Anupama’s ward, and Anupama, regaining consciousness, softly says, “Kapadia ji.” She opens her eyes and holds his hand. Everyone watching from outside smiles, relieved to see her recovering. Anuj holds her hand, kisses it, and wipes his tears. He tells her, “Anu… we have to walk this path together as life partners—through anger, love, hatred, and everything else. No matter where we live—our house, a rented place, or even on the street—I just want to be with you.” He thanks Kanha ji for returning her to him, acknowledging that she fought death and came back.
Anupama, still dazed, says, “I saw something while I was unconscious… was it real or just a dream?” Anuj replies, “It was real. I always believed you would come back from death.” Anupama jokes, saying, “Kanha ji probably thought if I came up, I’d lecture him for five pages, so he decided to keep me here.” Anuj laughs, agreeing, “We shouldn’t waste this chance. Let’s accept it.” Anupama smiles and says, “Yes, we’ll be together, with love, as Maan.” Anuj confesses, “I love you.” Anupama responds, “I know.” Anuj asks her to say what he could always see in her eyes but she kept to herself. Anupama finally says, “I want to grow old with you.” Anuj smiles, holds her hand, and lovingly places his hand on her head. Anupama smiles through her tears, and he kisses her forehead.
Aadhya enters the room, calling out to Anupama. She rests her head on Anupama’s shoulder and cries. Babu ji, watching from outside, smiles, saying, “My daughter’s family is complete now, and this festival feels like a real celebration.” Aadhya tearfully apologizes to Anupama and Anuj, admitting that she wasn’t a good daughter. She explains that she was stubborn and adamant, and regrets leaving, as they could have been living happily in the US. Anuj comforts her, saying, “What’s done is done. What matters is that you realized your mistake, and we’re together now, thanks to God’s blessings.” Anupama smiles, grateful for the reunion. Babu ji, Sagar, Meenu, and others come into the room. Anupama reassures Babu ji that she’s fine, while the doctor advises the family to give her some rest after a brief visit. Anupama insists she’s fine and wants them to stay a little longer, but Anuj gently reminds her that she’s just undergone a major operation and needs to rest. Anupama reassures Babu ji, telling him not to worry and to take his medication.
As they prepare to leave, Toshu suggests heading home, and Titu agrees. Meenu comments that Anupama will likely fall asleep soon due to the heavy doses of medication she received. Babu ji tells Anuj to stay with Anupama, and the rest of the family leaves. After they’re gone, Anuj turns to Aadhya, telling her how much he missed her, and how Anupama had searched for her and brought her back. Aadhya promises never to leave them again, saying, “I love you both so much.” Meanwhile, the Shahs and the people at the Ashram celebrate. Toshu drives Babu ji and the others home in the car. Babu ji, feeling joyful, asks Toshu to play the dhol, declaring “Jai Shri Krishna!” He tells everyone that he was angry with God earlier, but now that Anupama has returned, his anger is gone. The group joyfully chants “Jai Shri Krishna.” Bala mentions that the pandit had said Anuj fought with God for Anupama. Babu ji agrees, saying that true love brought her back. Kinjal adds that she witnessed the strength of Anuj’s love. Baa, touched, hopes for Anuj and Anupama to remain happy together. Babu ji, still in high spirits, jokes about eating double sweets, but Baa humorously stops him, giving him only a small piece. Nandita comments that everyone deserves a love like Anuj and Anupama’s. Sagar glances at Meenu. Babu ji, still energized, asks Bala to keep the drums going, and they all dance.
The next day, Meenu steps outside and stumbles, but Sagar catches her. Pakhi notices and decides to gather proof before confronting anyone. Meenu leaves.
Anupama wakes up and notices the hospital room decorated with “Get Well Soon” messages. Anuj and Aadhya enter the room. Aadhya helps Anupama sit up and combs her hair. Kinjal, Titu, Dimpy, Pakhi, and Toshu also arrive, and Anupama looks at them all with a grateful smile.
