Udne Ki Aasha 15th November 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Sayali handing over her mangalsutra. Paresh questions, “What is this? A married woman doesn’t remove her mangalsutra; it’s a symbol of her marriage. Put it back on.” Sayali reassures him, saying, “Don’t worry, my husband Sachin is with me.” She then asks Sachin to tie the black thread around her neck. Sachin does so. Paresh expresses disbelief, asking if she will wear a thread instead of a mangalsutra. Sayali responds, “I can’t wear gold because of our status. I must do this for my dignity and to respect my father. He has worked hard to give us a good life, and it’s my responsibility to uphold his respect.” Paresh turns to Renu and asks, “Are you satisfied now?” Renu responds, “I just said that. She’s acting; tell her to wear her mangalsutra.” Sayali says firmly, “No, Sachin and I are not bound by a gold mangalsutra. Any thread tied by Sachin is enough for me. I will only wear gold jewellery that Sachin earns for me. Until he buys me a gold mangalsutra, this thread will do.” She adds, “These earrings were given to me by Aaji, and no one can question me about them. If anyone speaks ill of my father or family, I will not stay silent. I know how to respond.” She walks away, with Sachin following her. Paresh smiles and glances at Renu, who looks angry.
Sachin consoles Sayali, saying, “You handled Renu well. I’m with you.” Sayali tears up and hugs him, and he comforts her. He suggests, “Write a list of the gold jewellery you want. If it’s about 50 tolas, it’s okay. We’ll buy it over time, don’t worry.” Sayali says, “Just the mangalsutra is enough.” Sachin replies, “Yes, I will get it. But write a list of the other jewellery too, so I’ll know what to get.” She agrees.
She prepares the list, and he says, “Include the bangles too; you had mortgaged them. Renu was saying a lot, but if I had the money, I would buy everything for you right away. I have to pay instalments as well. What should we do?” Sayali replies, “I know, I’ll help too.” Sachin insists, “Don’t burden yourself. I will manage. I’m asking only so I know the budget. Don’t worry, we’ll buy everything. We’ll invest in chit funds, but it’s risky. We’ll save in the bank, I’ll handle Renu, and you don’t need to worry.” Sayali says confidently, “That’s why I made a challenge—my husband will buy me everything.” Sachin smiles and says, “You have so much anger!” He asks, “Did you finish the list?” She nods. He adds, “I wasn’t asking for the ration list, just the jewellery list. I’ll get the mangalsutra for you this month, and then we’ll get the rest. But I want to tell you something: before making another challenge, talk to me first. I’ll be ready to discuss it.” He gently urges, “Now, let’s make your mood better. Smile a little.” Sayali smiles, and he gives her a kiss before leaving.
Renu recalls Sayali’s words and mutters, “I’ll throw her out of the house.” The next morning, Sayali is preparing breakfast. Renu enters and asks her to boil some water for Riya, as she’ll be late for the office. Sayali replies, “The light will come back soon.” Renu insists, and Sayali proceeds to boil the water, calling out to Riya. Riya thanks her, saying, “The power cut stopped the geyser from working.” Sachin watches silently. Renu stops Riya, saying, “Don’t take hot water, Sayali will use it.” Sachin observes quietly.
