Mangal Lakshmi 5th November 2024 Written Episode Update
Mangal arrives at the job location, where the men mock her, doubting her abilities. One man says, “Let’s at least enjoy the joke,” and questions if she thinks making food for a family is easy. Mangal replies confidently, saying they can test her skills. The man challenges her, asking if she believes she has the power to cook a large quantity. She insists that she does. Soumya appears, surprised to see Mangal there. Mangal heads into the kitchen, feeling uneasy as she sees all the men cooking. The manager remarks that they want people like her. She asserts, “I will give it a try.” The men scoff, questioning how she will manage in her saree. Mangal asks them what she should do.
He tells her to pick up the flour and make halwa. Mangal attempts to lift it, but a man offers to do it for her. She insists, “No, I can handle it.” Another man complains that she will waste their time. The manager expresses his doubts, saying he knew she wouldn’t succeed. Mangal recalls Soumya telling her that she wouldn’t make a penny and remembers she needs to do this for her children. Determined, Mangal pulls the flour outside and begins making halwa. Soumya wonders what she is doing there. Mangal continues to make the halwa on her own, slightly burning her hand in the process.
Scene 2
Karthik rehearses at home when he is suddenly hugged by Jiya. He is startled and asks, “What’s this? Are you out of your mind?” She responds, “Why are you acting so surprised? It’s not like I’ve never hugged you before.” He reminds her that he is now married. She acknowledges this but insists he doesn’t need to keep reminding her. He brings up how she asked him to leave her life. She takes his hand and confesses, “We are so in love; I can’t control my feelings.” He retorts that if she truly loved him, she wouldn’t have let him go. Jiya expresses her regret and apologizes, saying, “I’m sorry. You didn’t wait for me either.” Karthik wants to move on, stating, “That’s all in the past now.” She pleads with him to reconsider, claiming they are meant to be together. He tells her to stop, reminding her she promised to be professional. She admits she missed him, but he maintains, “I am married now. Lakshmi is my wife, and I am happy with her.”
Scene 3
Kusum arrives at the market, and Soumya asks why she called her there. Kusum invites her to see something interesting. She points out Mangal cooking alongside the men. Soumya scoffs, “Look how shameless she is.” When the woman turns around, it is revealed that it’s not Mangal. Soumya is confused, noting that Mangal was just there.
The manager pays Mangal 500. She notes that the others were paid 700 and argues, “I worked equally.” He replies, “I gave you a chance simply because you’re a woman and expect equal pay?” She asserts that her work is worth it. He scoffs at her demand for equality, saying it was merely a test. Mangal states she will return but insists on equal pay. He responds that they will call her if they need extra help in the future. As Mangal leaves, Soumya wonders where she went. Soumya tells Kusum she brought her favorite sweets. Kusum chides her for being foolish and instructs her to get ghee to make parathas for Adit. Soumya contemplates Mangal’s absence when she overhears the manager mentioning that Mangal cooked well and that he would call her for the next order.
Scene 4
Jiya admits to Karthik that she hurt him and pleads for him to let go of his anger, urging him to remember their happiness together. He insists he wants to forget it all. Shanti approaches, discussing the role she has for him.
Lakshmi heads towards Karthik’s office and inquires with a peon about his whereabouts. As Karthik exits, he sees her and takes her outside. Jiya interrupts, saying, “You love me, Karthik! You can’t do this to me and put Lakshmi above me!” Lakshmi, feeling anxious, asks if she made a mistake coming here. Karthik responds that she shouldn’t have come to the producer’s office. She apologizes, realizing she shouldn’t have intruded. Karthik reassures her that they will talk at home, and Lakshmi leaves.
Scene 5
Kusum congratulates Shanti on Lipika’s roka and tells Soumya they have a guest, asking her to prepare tea and refreshments. Soumya protests, saying, “How can I do all this?” Kusum insists she must also give her a massage afterward, showing no concern for how she manages it. The caterer calls Shanti to confirm the order. Shanti, concerned, warns that Soumya might sabotage the tea. Soumya assures her she won’t be coming to the wedding. Picking up a card, she begins to plot her next move.
When Mangal returns home, she resolves not to tell anyone about her new job. Kusum asks where she had been, and Mangal replies she went to the temple. Meanwhile, Soumya calls the caterer to cancel their order and places a new one with Mangal’s manager, requesting that he send his best cook. Soumya believes Mangal will arrive at her sister’s roka as the halwai.
