Rannvijay urges Vaiju to smile instead of shedding tears, saying that Durga would be happy to see her happy. Vasundhara comments on how they haven’t heard Rannvijay sing in a long time. Ragini points out that Rannvijay doesn’t even sing the happy birthday song but made an exception for Vaiju. This makes Jaya feel uneasy. Rannvijay responds that there hasn’t been any occasion for him to sing. Jaya is reminded of a flashback where she and Rannvijay were celebrating their one-month anniversary, and she asked him to sing for her, but he refused.
Ragini asks Vaiju to make a wish before cutting the cake. Vaiju replies that they’ve already given her so much. Jaya advises her to make a wish to God and close her eyes while doing so. Vaiju thinks of Rannvijay and, upon opening her eyes and seeing him, feels a pang of sadness. Kaveri inquires about what Vaiju wished for, but Jaya quickly interjects, saying that if Vaiju reveals her wish, it won’t come true. Vaiju reflects that whether she keeps it a secret or not, her wish may never come true. Vaiju then feeds cake to everyone, and Rannvijay feeds her in return, bringing a smile to her face. Arhaan eagerly announces that he will now show his gift to Vaiju.
The family members share their idea of planting something special for her. One by one, everyone plants, including Jaya, but she can’t help but feel disheartened again. Rannvijay offers Jaya a piece of cake, and she remarks on how surprised she was by his singing for Vaiju. He admits that he felt awkward and probably sang out of tune. Jaya disagrees, telling him he sang beautifully, but she notes that he never sang for her. She wonders aloud if she never inspired him to sing. Rannvijay explains that he sang for Vaiju because he overheard her missing Durga and wanted to make her feel that she is among her loved ones.
Vasundhara then tells Vaiju that she has something special for her. She takes off her gold necklace and places it around Vaiju’s neck. Vaiju, feeling overwhelmed, says she cannot accept such a gift. Sulekha steps in, pulling the necklace off Vaiju and humiliating her. Sulekha asserts that while they’ve given Vaiju whatever she wanted, she cannot accept that jewelry from the Moide Patil family should go to Vaiju. Ragini attempts to stop Sulekha, but Sulekha continues, questioning Vaiju’s place in the family. She argues that while they can shower Vaiju with love, she does not deserve their family’s jewelry.
Jaya interjects, stating that as her elder sister, Vaiju has every right to be part of their family. Vasundhara affirms this, saying that Vaiju is as dear to her as Jaya and Ragini. Despite these reassurances, Vaiju stands there, visibly hurt by Sulekha’s harsh words. Sulekha goes on to say that Vaiju is Rannvijay’s sister-in-law and should be giving to her in-laws, not taking from them. Overwhelmed, Vaiju apologizes and says she doesn’t want anything. Rannvijay approaches Vaiju and urges her to stand up for herself, but Vaiju insists that Sulekha is right—that she is merely Jaya’s sister and has no claim to stay in their house.
Rannvijay, however, takes Vaiju’s hand and leads her to the doorstep. Standing beside her, he declares that no one will question her rights anymore. He firmly holds her hand and leads her into Rannvijay’s room, asserting her place in the family.
