Jagriti 4th November 2024 Written Episode Update
The episode begins with Gita praying to Shri Ram, expressing that everything is part of your Leela, so there is no reason to complain or question you. She reflects on the loss of Harish and her daughter, acknowledging that his betrayal has cast a shadow over her life. However, she prays for the girl who brought light into Harish and Bindi’s lives, asking for justice and wishing she could fight her battle for her. Gita hopes that no injustice will befall her. Meanwhile, the media is outside the court, reporting on Jaggu’s case involving the girl accused of stealing a watch from Kalikant’s house. Jaggu arrives with the police, and the media questions her about the theft. Jaggu insists she hasn’t committed any crime. She is escorted inside the courtroom, where Ibadat encourages her, reassuring her that justice will prevail through honesty and truth. Jagriti expresses her fears of not being heard, but Ibadat urges her to maintain her courage. She recalls her father’s advice to never lose hope and to fight to clear the black mark against her.
Jagriti enters the courtroom and spots Amol seated there. She surveys the room as Amol sees Gita walking in as the judge and is taken aback, realizing he had told Kalikant that minor cases do not go before Gita’s court, as this is a juvenile case. Everyone stands up in respect. Jaggu assumes they are standing for her. Gita asks everyone to sit down and reflects on her conversation with her senior about taking on the case, highlighting its connection to the Chittas and Kalikant’s network. She asserts that she doesn’t want the girl to be a victim of this nexus. Her senior inquires about her hopes for the case, and Gita replies that the time has come for a thorough investigation and the exposure of the larger racket. Her superior grants her special permission to preside over the case as the judge. The flashback ends, and Gita begins the court proceedings, announcing Jagriti’s name and birth details. She rushes to Jagriti, kissing her and calling her her daughter. Amol questions Gita, confused by her claim. Gita asserts that Jagriti is her daughter, while Jaggu declares she is her father’s daughter and that her mother is in the sky. Gita insists, revealing that Harish has deceived Jagriti and orders his arrest for betrayal, stating he has no rights over her. Jagriti, distressed, cries out for her father, but it turns out to be Harish’s imagination. He confides in Bindi that Gita will discover Jagriti’s true identity when her details are revealed. They attempt to enter the courtroom but are stopped by constables.
Gita asks the prosecution lawyer who will represent Jaggu. The lawyer responds that no one will fight for Chitta’s case. Jagriti asserts that she will defend herself and doesn’t need a lawyer. Gita explains the court provisions and allows her to proceed with her defense. She instructs the prosecution lawyer to remember that Jagriti is just a small girl. The prosecution lawyer asks for Jagriti’s name, to which Jaggu responds with her nickname, Chitta. When asked again, she inquires about the lawyer’s name, who identifies himself as Jagmohan. Jaggu clarifies that everyone calls her Chitta or Jaggu, depending on who she’s with.
Bindi creates a distraction for the police, signaling Harish. Jagmohan prompts Jaggu for answers, but Gita defends her, telling him not to intimidate her. The lawyer inquires about her age, and Jaggu retorts that she doesn’t know, questioning whether Chittas are educated enough to know such things. She explains that her grandmother told her she was born on a troubled night. The prosecution lawyer claims her answers are merely attempts to divert the court’s attention. Jaggu, pointing at Inspector Singh, states that he takes thumb impressions when any Chitta is born. The lawyer requests Gita to instruct her not to disrupt the proceedings. Gita responds that it’s up to the court to decide how to handle the situation. Jaggu explains to Gita that in her community, the police take a thumb impression at birth, determining that they are Chittas, born criminals. Gita asks the lawyer if he is aware of this practice. The lawyer pretends to have a heart attack, prompting Amol and Singh to assist him. Amol asks for water, while Jagriti worries about the lawyer’s condition. The lawyer signals to Amol that he is acting. Harish, feeling helpless, struggles to climb the stairs, with Bindi assisting him. Gita declares that the court hearing will be adjourned until tomorrow, noting that the public prosecutor’s health should be a priority and that another prosecutor may need to be appointed if necessary. She instructs SP Amol to investigate the ties between Kalikant and the police, particularly regarding the exploitation of the Chitta community. Harish urges Bindi to move faster, determined not to let Gita take away his Jaggu. As Gita approaches, she accidentally bumps into Harish’s wheelchair, looking at him with concern.
