Anupama 1st November 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Janki behen confronting Baa, stating that while God may have blessed her with everything, manners to address guests were not among those gifts. Baa retorts that Janki behen is not a guest, but a worker. Anupama intervenes, urging Baa to stop and asserting that one cannot insult a worker. She swears to Janki behen, offering her food on a steel plate. Baa questions if Anupama didn’t hear her. Anupama replies that she did, emphasizing that she serves her in a steel plate because she has no silver or gold alternatives. She expresses her confusion over why workers should have separate plates, glasses, and bowls. Anupama continues, explaining that they can eat food prepared by Janki behen but shouldn’t avoid sharing a meal with her. Pakhi interjects, suggesting that Anupama will soon invite beggars inside and ask the family to eat with them. Anupama insists that Janki behen is to be treated with respect, following the teachings of Shri Krishna and Shri Ram, who welcomed everyone regardless of their status. She argues that if they perform worship while discriminating against others, their prayers will not be effective. Anupama highlights the importance of celebrating the festival together. She invites Prem to sit and join the meal. Prem serves food to everyone and sits down as well, while Baa plots her revenge for what she perceives as an insult.
Aadhya reflects on how much she enjoyed the food, recalling her days of hunger and how she had grown accustomed to an empty stomach. Suddenly, she receives a call from Bubbly, which leaves her in shock. Anupama inquires about what’s wrong. Aadhya informs her that Pinto has fallen from the terrace and urgently needs money for treatment. Anupama reassures her, explaining that the order money will soon arrive, and they can send it to Vyas’s account or directly to the hospital. She urges Aadhya to remain calm, promising that everything will work out. Baa and Pakhi overhear the conversation. Toshu then receives the order money and Baa insists he give her the funds to prevent Anupama from wasting it. She takes the money to her room, where she finds Dolly sitting. Baa acknowledges that she knows Dolly has been hiding her desires and hands her money for clothing and other items. Dolly expresses her gratitude, mentioning how she always has to ask her sister-in-law for funds. Baa encourages her to ask her now instead. Ishu watches this unfold, noticing where Baa has hidden the keys after locking away the money.
Anupama waits for Keertan to arrive with the money. Aadhya enters the house, asking Anupama for the funds. Anupama explains she is still waiting for Keertan. Just then, Dolly, Kinjal, and Pakhi return from their shopping trip. Aadhya, frustrated, points out that they have money for shopping but not for a boy’s medical emergency. Upset, she leaves. Prem contacts his friend, asking if he can assist him in Dwarka.
Ishu enters Baa’s room, retrieves the keys, opens the envelope, and takes out the money. She apologizes to Baa, expressing her fear of going to jail. Aadhya enters the room just as Ishu hides the money bundle, and Aadhya notices cash in the locker. Baa instructs Anupama to perform the aarti. Anupama suggests Baa do it since she’s waiting for Keertan. Baa insists, reminding Anupama that the auspicious time is about to pass. Anupama proceeds with the aarti. Prem arrives and stands for the prayer as Anupama completes the aarti and the bhajan.
Aadhya clutches the bundle of money and reflects on her decision to steal, acknowledging it’s wrong but asserting it’s necessary for Pinto’s treatment. She rationalizes that she is taking it as a loan. Ishu, meanwhile, records the incident to show Baa and others later. Aadhya takes the money and exits.
As Anupama finishes the aarti, she calls Keertan, requesting the money he promised. Keertan responds that he gave the money to Toshu a while ago. Anupama questions Toshu about the funds. Just as he is about to speak, Baa interjects, claiming she needed the money and took it from Toshu, mentioning Dolly’s shopping needs as well. Anupama expresses her frustration, demanding the money she needed. Baa chastises her, stating that Anupama spends lavishly on others’ children but cannot spare 2000 for her own daughter. Baa reminds her how, for 26 years, the family supported her before she began earning. Anupama clarifies that her son has always cared for her needs. Baa silences her, insisting that she used Anupama’s intended donation for an orphan to help her daughter. Anupama counters, asserting Rahi is her daughter too. Baa dismisses her, calling Rahi a source of destruction and saying she will scold both Anupama and her daughter. Anupama firmly states that Rahi is not a thief.
Meanwhile, Aadhya reaches the bus stand to head to Dwarka. A man offers to help her get there. Toshu expresses his displeasure, lamenting that they spent 10 lakhs to bring her in, only for her to steal from them. Dolly notes they were securing silver coins while Aadhya emptied the locker. Toshu threatens to call the police, but Pari urges him not to. Pakhi remarks that Aadhya is clever enough to have recorded the incident, ensuring Anupama has to acknowledge her daughter’s actions.
